SEM Engineers was founded by a group of highly qualified and experienced engineers who shared a common vision of delivering innovative, reliable, and technically sound engineering solutions. This milestone reinforced the firm's credibility and enabled it to undertake engineering consultancy projects in accordance with national standards, professional ethics, and internationally accepted engineering practices.
Recognizing the growing demand for specialized electrical engineering consultancy, Engr. Asghar H. Siddiqui established ElekEn Associates. The firm was founded with a vision to provide innovative electrical engineering solutions for commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and institutional developments, emphasizing technical excellence, safety, and energy efficiency.
ElekEn Associates achieved formal registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), marking an important step in its professional journey. The registration reflected the firm's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of engineering practice while delivering dependable consultancy services in compliance with national regulations and international engineering standards.
As the firm's portfolio expanded and project complexity increased, ElekEn Associates transitioned from a sole proprietorship into a structured partnership. This transformation strengthened the organization's technical capabilities, broadened its leadership, and enhanced its ability to deliver multidisciplinary engineering consultancy services for projects of greater scale and complexity.
Following years of consistent growth and successful project delivery, SEM Engineers also evolved from a sole proprietorship into a formal partnership organization. This strategic restructuring enhanced organizational capacity, strengthened project management capabilities, and enabled the firm to serve a wider range of clients while maintaining its commitment to engineering excellence and quality.
A significant milestone was achieved when SEM Engineers and ElekEn Associates combined their technical expertise, industry experience, and professional resources to establish SEP Engineering Consultants. This strategic collaboration created a multidisciplinary consultancy capable of delivering fully integrated Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), Fire Protection, ELV, Sustainability, and Building Engineering solutions under a single professional platform.
To reinforce its commitment to quality, professional development, and international best practices, SEP Engineering Consultants obtained registrations and memberships with leading professional organizations including the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), IEEE, ASHRAE, NFPA, USGBC, Pakistan Green Building Council (PAKGBC), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), and Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA).
